Hello, I'm Tika!

My name is Tika. I am 3rd of 7 siblings and a mom of two! I love being a mom, sourdough, art, music, refurbishing furniture, and outdoor activities. I never thought of photography as a career, it was my family that pushed me into it. I wanted everyone to have pictures of their newborns, families, wedding, and when friends/family told me they weren't getting a photographer for those I quickly volunteered! I thought I was just doing something nice, I didn't realize I was finding something new that I feel passionate about.

As a photographer I want to make your photoshoots fun! I try to take the stress out of it, make it quick but still memorable and something you'll be excited to share and hang on your wall! As a mom myself I am not in any photos because I've always been the one taking them and being self conscious I didn't think I would mind but now realizing my mom isn't in many photos of my siblings and I the thought that my kids would feel the same way I do about this just pushed me to start getting photos with me in them whether or not I liked them. Obviously I wish I looked good in them all, and I wish photos were easier to get. Everyone just dreads them (especially the men in my experience) and the kids just can't hold still or start screaming. I want to change all of that for everyone! My goal is to make your photoshoot quick, easy, as carefree as possible, and real. Your kids want to run? let em run! I'll chase them and play games to get some photos done. I will also spend the extra time editing your photos and working on those tiny details in each one to make you feel less insecure and love them. Because I want that for myself and my family, and I think you deserve it. Especially you mommas out there.

Also, If you feel insecure let me know and I will do my best to go the extra mile posing you and showing you the photos along the way to make sure you're happy with how it turns out. Don't skip out, especially on those big life events because I would LOVE to be apart of them.
